I agree with your thought through the lens of a marketer, but I think it's much broader than that. Product UI / UX should flow from context. What apps notify us about should change by context. Apps should understand our behavior and know when and how to interrupt us. The notion of context applies more broadly than just digital marketing.


Interesting to think that as more and more context become available through data - consumer targeting almost becomes irrelevant. Because the context itself is the intent.
